Yasmeen Khaskia, MD
Dr. Yasmeen Khaskia was born in Pennsylvania but raised in Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences and psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where she distinguished herself immeasurably. She then earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Khaskia completed her internal medicine training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she was awarded Intern of the Year during her first year of training and Best Patient Advocate during her second and third years of training prior to becoming Chief Resident. Dr. Khaskia completed her fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where she served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Khaskia has attended multiple international conferences and presented multiple case reports and quality improvement projects. She was actively involved in medical student and resident education throughout residency and fellowship training.
Dr. Khaskia is delighted to return to her roots in Pennsylvania by joining Respiratory Specialists and providing pulmonary and critical care services to Reading Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, and St. Joseph Medical Center. She is board certified by the ABIM in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease and is trained in a wide variety of invasive procedures. She is an active member of the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is natively fluent in Arabic.
During her free time, Dr. Khaskia enjoys reading and exercising, especially swimming. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling, especially to Disney World!
