Brian Chwiecko, MD

Dr. Brian Chwiecko was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and moved up to the Reading, PA area when he was ten years old. He has been here ever since, attending Governor Mifflin High School and obtaining his Bachelor of Science from Kutztown University. He then went on to graduate from Medical University of the Americas in the West Indies with his Doctorate of Medicine degree in 2015. Dr. Chwiecko completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in 2018. During his residency, he was voted "Intern of the Year". Dr. Chwiecko recently completed his fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Chwiecko is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine and has a special interest in Quality Improvement, being involved in multiple projects throughout his training.

Dr. Chwiecko is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care. He has special interests in the diagnosis and management of Pulmonary Hypertension, Lung Cancer, COPD, Asthma, and Interstitial lung diseases including Sarcoidosis,. Dr. Chwiecko is trained in a wide variety of invasive procedures and advanced bronchoscopy including Endobronchial Ultrasound and Navigational Bronchoscopy.

Dr. Chwiecko is an active member of the medical staff at Reading Hospital Medical Center and at St. Joseph Medical Center.
