Mumtaz Zaman, MD, FCCP
Dr. Mumtaz Zaman is a graduate of Dow Medical College in Pakistan. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine from Columbus-Cabrini Medical Center, an affiliate of Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago and subsequently completed subspecialty training in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine from Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Zaman comes to us from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine where he was Associate Professor of Medicine with tenure in the division of Pulmonary Medicine. His areas of interest include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other smoking related lung disorders, lung cancer, pulmonary physiology and evaluation of shortness of breath.
Dr. Zaman was involved in academic medicine for over seven years and was recognized with the "Academy of Medical Educators Award" by Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine for his academic achievements and participation in medical research. Dr. Zaman's research has been published in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented several abstracts and posters in national meetings and has contributed to medical research. He is a Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians and member of American Thoracic Society.
Dr. Zaman is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is committed to providing care of the highest quality to patients in our community. He has also been recognized with a "Caring Spirit All Star Award" by Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV for level of care and compassion.
Dr. Zaman is an active member of the medical staff at St. Joseph's Medical Center and the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He is also a consultant at the HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital in Reading, PA.
