Dimitry M. Petrenko, DO, FACP

Dr. Dimitry Petrenko received his B.A. in integrative biology with an emphasis in human physiology from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was part of the inaugural class. He helped found the student government and multiple clubs on campus.

Dr. Petrenko completed his residency in internal medicine at Suburban Community Hospital. There, he served as Chief Intern and Chief Resident, and was recognized as Intern of the Year during his first year of training, and Resident of the Year in each of his second and third years of training. Dr. Petrenko completed his fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the Lehigh Valley Health Network. He was actively involved in medical student, resident, and interdisciplinary education. He has had multiple case reports presented at national and international conferences.

Dr. Petrenko is excited to join Respiratory Specialists and serve our patients here in Berks County and beyond. He attends on the pulmonology and critical care services at the Reading Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, and St. Joseph Medical Center. He is board certified by the ABIM in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is natively fluent in Russian.

Outside of work, Dr. Petrenko enjoys spending time with his family, walking his rescue Chihuahua, barbecuing, and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.
