Deborah Clauss, MSN, CRNP, RN, AGACNP-BC
Deborah began her nursing career by attending Lehigh Carbon Community College, obtaining an Associate degree in Nursing in 2000. While working as a Registered Nurse, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kutztown University in 2004. In 2012, she obtained a Master of Nursing Education from Cedar Crest College. Following her passion for education and patient care, in 2019, she completed a post-master's certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University. Deborah is board certified from the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Deborah has an extensive critical care nursing background, including providing care for seriously injured burn and trauma patients at a regional level one trauma center. She has also served as an Instructor of Nursing for Cedar Crest College. As a staff nurse, Deborah functioned as a Primary Preceptor for new nurses and has a research interest in the application of virtual reality systems for hospitalized patients.
Deborah is a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about providing quality medical care and improving patient outcomes with the application of evidence-based practice. She currently serves as the Lead Nurse Practitioner for the critical care team in the intensive care unit at Tower Health, Pottstown.
