Justin B. Herman, MD
Dr. Herman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania with honors in Biological Basis of Behavior. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and then completed his subspecialty fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Herman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, has presented multiple abstracts and posters at national meetings, and has received numerous awards for his clinical work, research, and community service endeavors.
Dr. Herman has a special interest in the treatment of asthma, smoking related lung diseases, lung cancer screening and diagnosis, and interstitial lung disease.
He is an active member of the medical staff at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center and the Saint Joseph's Medical Center. He is also a consultant at the HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital. He is trained to perform endobronchial ultrasound as well as other bronchoscopic procedures.
