James N. Kim, MD, FCCP
Dr. James Kim received his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, a Master of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, and his medical degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating with Distinction in Research. He completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He then trained in Pulmonary Critical Care subspecialty at the University of California at San Francisco, where he also completed a research fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Lung Biology Center. Dr. Kim is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Kim is an active member of the medical staff at the Reading Health System and Penn State Health-Saint Joseph's Medical Center. He serves as a site director for the Jefferson University-Reading Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship program, an education coordinator for the Department of Medicine residents' ICU and pulmonary subspecialty rotations, and an active participant in the Directors' Council for the McGlinn Cancer Institute at the Reading Health System. He is also a consultant at the HealthSouth and the Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospitals.
Dr. Kim has been a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Thoracic Society, and Pennsylvania Medical Society in the past.
